The Cologne-based Sono Kollektiv is dedicated to sound spaces and spatial sounds. In productions and projects ranging from ambient to experimental sound art, the members of the collective have gotten to know each other and want to create something bigger together: Spatial sound installations, interdisciplinary concert formats and media productions - and always new and site-specific.
As a member of the collective i was responsible for the Corporate Identity and developed a design including word mark, poster and flyer, social media banner, video documentations and animations.

With a transmedia concert series we organized an ambient concert series focused on church buildings in the Rhineland and NRW that are characterized by concrete expressiveness. I was responsible for the corporate design including poster, flyer, social media banner, video documentations and animations.

Our collective was in the mountains high above the Etschtal in South Tyrol. Inspiring conversations, sonorous jam sessions and delicious South Tyrolean cuisine made the week a biotope for new sounds and projects.
Besides producing music with the members I filmed and produced a documentation video.
Listen to some of the tracks that have been released on pop ambient compilations on the Kompakt label.
The sound of car tyres on the asphalt, snatches of conversation from passers-by, a siren in the distance. The sonic textures of the big city find their way across the open Ebertplatz, past the new green areas and the fountain, into the subways of the Ebertplatz-Passage. Here they meet the musicians of Sono Kollektiv, who enter the urban sound cloud with their instruments, imitate it, interpret it and transform it into a site-specific sound performance. Acoustic instruments such as cello and flugelhorn and various synthesizers play with each other, against each other, in duets and soloistically, but always in harmony with the place. The result is urban music between ambient, soundscape music and free improvisation.
In addition to creating a photo shoot for the flyer, poster and social media banners I designed, I shot video footage of the performance and edited a video trailer.
Ambient music has developed into an exciting interface between electronic and electro-acoustic music, neoclassical music and pop. The Sono Kollektiv has taken this as an opportunity to present a new concert format in Cologne's Basement together with Heinrich Lenz - founder of the Lucidity Music sleep concert series: The Dämmerklänge reclining concert. I was filming and editing the trailer.
